This was a challenge as we wanted to keep the price down. The mirror housing is stainless steel and so is the base that mounts to the windshield frame. If you look closely you will see that the stainless steel mounting bracket is a very close match to the original and is not merely a bent piece of strap. The shaft is chromed steel and is held in place with 2 set screws. Price includes 2 S/S oval head screws to mount with.
